The illegal wildlife trade is often characterised by iconic species like Rhinos and Elephants being pushed to the edge of extinction. For others, like the Pangolin, it has taken decades as they teeter on the brink of disaster, to get their plight into the public eye. The cruel reality is that this industry impacts almost every species on earth, from insects to Elephants.
Our Coatimundis could be the next Pangolin! Thankfully the Animal Defenders International were able to save Coatimundi Josefa after being rescued from the streets of Peru’s capital city; Lima. Just one of the victims of the wildlife traffickers, but this time with a happy ending.
